Oliver Lakota, member of jury

Oliver Lakota was born in Passau. He studied at the Anton Bruckner University Linz and later with Bo Nilsson in Malmö (Sweden). He deepened his studies at numerous concerts and took part in another program at the University of the Arts in Bremen with famous Baroque virtuoso Otto Sauter. Since 2001 intensive soloist throughout Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Spain, Romania, Serbia, Mexico, Japan and Turkey.

During his tour he performs with orchestras of reputation such as the Radio Symphony Orchestra Pilsen, the “Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México”, the famous “Cappella Istropolitana”, the “Camerata Wratislavia”, the Philharmonic Orchestras of Oradea and Brasov, the Mexican Orquestra Sinfónica UANL in Monterrey, the Russian Academic Symphony Voronezh Orchestra, the Budapest Symphony...

Andrea Cardinale

He got the diploma in violin at the conservatory “N. Paganini” in Genoa. He has attended various specialization courses at the Musical Academy “O. Respighi” in Rome at the Musical School “G.B. Viotti” in Vercelli, held by Mr. Ruggero Ricci and Mr. Franco Gulli. Moreover, he has been studying at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimora (USA) with Mr. Berl Senofsky and in Milan with Mr. Damiano Cottalasso at the Scala Theatre. Andrea Talmelli – Chairman of the jury

(b. 7 July 1950, Modena).

Italian composer of mostly orchestral, chamber, choral, vocal, and piano works that have been performed in Asia, Europe and North America.

Mr. Talmelli studied composition with Azio Corghi and piano with Lino Rastelli the Conservatorio Arrigo Boito in Parma, where he graduated with a degree in piano in 1972 and a degree in composition in 1977. He also earned a degree in jurisprudence at the Università degli Studi di Parma in 1976 and studied conducting with Piero Guarino from 1977–79.

Among his honours are prizes in the competition of the Filarmonica Umbra of Terni (1978, 1988), the competition Guido d’Arezzo in Arezzo (1981), the Premio Muccetti in Parma (1981), and the competition Venezia Opera Prima of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice (1981)...

Enea Leone

leone_3Enea Leone, born in Milan in 1978, approached the guitar at a very young age, under his father’s guidance.

He later studied with Lena Kokkaliari until his admission to the Conservatory “G. Verdi” of Milan under the tuition of Ruggero Chiesa and Paolo Chierici, where he graduated with flying colours in 1998. He then attended a post graduation two year course achieving the highest marks, and subsequently improved his training further with Emanuele Segre, Alirio Diaz and Oscar Ghiglia, obtaining a scolarship and certificate at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana of Siena in 2002, 2003 and 2004. In 2005, he gained the “Solistendiplom” at the Musik-Akademie of Basel, again with Oscar Ghiglia.

José Manuel and Francisco Cuenca Morales, form an exquisite Piano and guitar Duo, considered by the critics/reviews as “unique in the way both instruments melt as one with grand elegance and Fine Touch”. They were born in Puente Genil (Córdova) (España) and they are Honorary Members of the Andres Segovia Foundation.

José Manuel estudied Piano and Clarinet at the Superior Music Conservatory in Cordova with  Mª Teresa García Moreno, Rafael Quero y Bartolomé Conde, as his Professors, finishing both instruments with the “End of Studies Extraordinary Prize”.

Francisco starts his Guitar studies with his father, Francisco Cuenca Domínguez, and continues at the Superior Music Conservatory in Cordova with  José Rodríguez y Miguel Barberá and finishes with the “Honours Priz...

Giovanni Doria Miglietta

Giovanni Doria Miglietta was born in Imperia, Italy, in 1979. He started learning the piano under his father’s guidance and completed his studies under Lidia Baldecchi Arcuri at the Conservatory of Genoa. In 2005 he earned a Master’s Degree at the Academy of Music of Pinerolo under Laura Richaud. Along with the same teacher, he earned the 2nd Level Academic Diploma at the Conservatory of Turin with highest distinction (cum laude and special mention). He studied with pianists of the stature of Carlo Balzaretti and Arnulf Von Armin, and attended masterclasses with pianists like Alexander Lonquich, Philippe Entremont and Jean Bernard Pommier, who selected him to perform Saint-Saens’ Piano Concert No.2 with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra...
