The competition is open to young musicians of all nationalities and backgrounds.
Awards and fellowships for 16.000 € and national and international concerts prize.
Registration closes three weeks before the starting date of the Competition (see announcement of the year in which the contest is held). Registration can be done online by the application form according to the template available on the website :

by attaching:
1) copy of ID;
2) 1 signed copy of the list of pieces (divided for each round for competitors entered in the “Rovere d’Oro” competition) indicating:
(a) author with relevant dates of birth and death;
(b) title and date of composition of the piece;
(c) number of the work;
(d) publishing house or receiver of the deposit;
(e) duration;
NB – The score should not be sent with the application but will be presented only to the committee at the time of the rehearsal.

Rehearsals for all Categories will be held on the days indicated in the downloadable announcement.
– Solo competitors may enter the competition within the age limit of 35 years of age. Those who have already won during previous editions of the Rovere d’Or Award will not be allowed to apply again.
– Competitors are divided into the following Soloist Categories:
CAT. A: Piano
CAT. B: Guitar
CAT. C: String Instruments
CAT. D: Wind Instruments
CAT. E: Harp
– The competition is held in three rounds, the final of which is in the form of a public concert.

Single round competition – 6 age groups.
Art. 20 – Competitors are divided into the following Categories:
CAT. A – Piano
CAT. B – Guitar/Harp
CAT. C – String Instruments
CAT. D – Wind Instruments
CAT. E – Ensemble Music
Participants, should they wish, may enter both competitions or in different categories (as soloists and as a musical ensemble).
The official schedule of rehearsals will be published on the Competition website after the close of registration.
Competitors in all Categories take only one rehearsal, the maximum duration of which is given below and are divided into age groups.
